Tosca enchants Rome: standing and emotion for ‘Morabeza in teatro’

Tosca and her ‘Morabeza in teatro’ bewitch the capital. Standing ovation, emotion and chorus of a packed Sinopoli Hall for the return of the singer to her city, to which she made a tribute in music, on the notes of the beautiful and little known ‘Under the stars’ by Romolo Balzani, wishing Rome a ” rebirth”. No less successful is the tribute to Lucio Dalla on the notes of an original and sublime ‘Piazza Grande’. A music concert beyond the borders, with many talented musicians on stage and with a lineup that goes far beyond the already rich palette of colors and sounds of the ‘Morabeza’ album. In fact, if Morabeza is already a colorful polyglot carousel that celebrates the intertwining and contamination between peoples, a bridge between the Italian roots and the music of elsewhere, in particular French, Brazilian, Portuguese and Tunisian, on the stage Tosca is still expanding plus the areas of his exploration up to embrace new sound worlds of an even larger area of ​​northern Africa and visiting the recent and older repertoire of that Latin musical area between Central and South America. Surprising and perfectly fitting scenes and staging, with the stage transformed into an imaginary South American living room designed by the set designer Alessandro Chiti and directed by Massimo Venturiello to enhance the emotions, with a mix of moments of great music and prose interventions by the protagonist. On stage, alongside Tosca, a group of talented musicians directed by Joe Barbieri will interpret the rich range of musical suggestions under the banner of the melting pot: Giovanna Famulari on cello, piano and voice, Massimo De Lorenzi on guitar, Elisabetta Pasquale on double bass and voice, Luca Scorziello on drums and percussion, Fabia Salvucci on percussion and voice. After Rome, the tour will touch some of the most important theaters in Italy. Tosca will be at the Puccini Theater in Florence on the 7th, at the Franco Parenti Theater in Milan on the 8th and then gradually in Pavia on the 9th, in Fasano on the 13th, in Bari on the 14th and 15th, in Sassari on the 29th, in Messina on December 3rd. . The second part of the tour will then be a tour of Europe and the Middle East which will open in Strasbourg on 25 November and will continue from February ’22 in Dubai and Sharjah.Finally, Morabeza’s trip to the theater will end in late spring again with a series of Italian concerts, new European dates between Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and then overseas between Brazil (coinciding with the release of the album on the Brazilian market), Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru and the United States.
