The Paolo Borsellino National Award went to Rai for Social Media and Tg1

Rai always at the forefront of legality: the journalist and special correspondent of Tg1 Maria Grazia Mazzola and the Head of Rai for Social Affairs Giovanni Parapini are, in fact, among those who have received the recognition of the XXV Edition of the ‘Paolo Borsellino National Award’ . To the former for his constant commitment to investigative journalism and to the latter for the dissemination of the culture of legality. Established in 1992, in memory of Judge Paolo Borsellino, killed by the mafia together with the men of his escort, but not only, also in memory of Judge Giovanni Falcone and all the women and men who paid with their lives, their commitment in favor of a significant change in our Society, the award is coordinated by the Falcone e Borsellino Association which, through offline and online communication tools, offers an awareness-raising action in all Italian schools towards young students. The Award Ceremony of the XXV edition at the Flaiano Theater was held this morning in Pescara, in full compliance with the anti Covid regulations. E. chaired by the Prefect Luigi Savina, President of the Paolo Borsellino National Award, dedicated a space to the delivery of prizes which, in addition to Mazzola and Parapini, saw Giovanni Bianconi, columnist Corriere della Sera as protagonists; Roberto Lipari, actor and host of Striscia la Notizia; Don Maurizio Patriciello, parish priest of Caivano; Francesco Oliva, Bishop of the Diocese of Locri-Gerace; Raffaele Grassi, Prefect of Padua; Gaetano Paci, Deputy Prosecutor of Reggio Calabria and Carmelo Zuccaro, District Attorney of Catania Arma dei Carabinieri.
