It is a small “revolution” of the Sanremo Giovani regulation that decided by the Artistic Commission after examining the over 700 applications for participation in the 2021 edition: the great quality of the songs proposed by the young artists has in fact convinced the Commission itself (chaired by the director Amadeus and Claudio Fasulo, Gian Marco Mazzi, Massimo Martelli, Leonardo De Amicis) to bring to 45 the participants in the final selection, instead of the 30 initially foreseen. To these is added the winner of Castrocaro. In detail, these are 16 women, 26 men and 4 groups. By geographical origin 24 are from the North, 10 from the Center, 8 from the South and 4 from abroad. The 46 selected will be the protagonists of the auditions before the Artistic Commission which at the end of November will announce the eight who – together with the 4 from the Sanremo Area – will participate in the evening of Sanremo Giovani on December 15, from which the two competing artists will come out together with the 22 “Big” at the Sanremo 2022 Festival. In the list of admitted artists there are already known names such as Angelina Mango, daughter of Mango and Laura Valente, and the Viito, the duo made up of the adopted Romans Giuseppe Zingaro and Vito Dell’Erba.
