From the tax authorities, draft: Covid quarantine equated to disease for the whole of 2021

The Covid compensation for the quarantine of workers is back and will again be equated to illness. This is what the draft of the tax law decree is being examined by the Council of Ministers. Until 31 December 2021, the period that workers spend in quarantine, due to Covid, with active surveillance or in fiduciary home permanence with active surveillance, reads the document, “ is equated to illness for the purposes of the economic treatment provided for by the law. of reference and is not computable for the purposes of the period of employment ”. The cost of the standard approaches 1.2 billion euros. Private sector employers with social security obligation with INPS management, for the period from January 31, 2020 until December 31, 2021, ” are entitled to a flat-rate reimbursement for the costs incurred relating to their employees who are not eligible to the economic health insurance at the INPS. For each calendar year, the reimbursement is granted to the employer on a one-off basis for each individual worker, and is foreseen only in cases in which the work performance, during the event, cannot be carried out in an agile way “. The reimbursement is disbursed. by INPS, for an amount equal to 600 euros per worker, upon presentation of the application.
