Over 12 thousand entries registered during the three days dedicated to the sectors of lifting materials, work at height, industrial and port handling and exceptional transport. “On Friday alone”, says Fabio Potestà, director of Mediapoint & Exhibitions, the organizer of the fair, “we recorded a number of visitors equal to that of the entire edition of GIS 2019”. These numbers are incontrovertible, “given that our fair is certified”, adds Potestà, without hiding the satisfaction for the success of the event. The numbers of GIS 2021: over 12 thousand: registered entries; 67: the trade associations that have joined the event; 3: the patronage received from the fair. Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Anas; 5: adhesions by administrations and public bodies. Inail, Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Emilia Romagna Region, Italian Army and Municipality of Piacenza; 400: the exhibitors present, including Italians and foreigners; 41 thousand: the square meters occupied by the exhibition inside the Piacenza Expo. “At the 8th edition of the Italian Days of Lifting and Exceptional Transport an important sector of the Italian economic reality was shown”, underlines Potestà, “There is a recovery. Even during the Covid period, this sector worked at full strength, the Ponte San Giorgio in Genoa clearly demonstrates this. The logistics and heavy transport companies are courageous companies and the lifting players are tough, tough ”. Mediapoint & Exhibitions is already looking to the future, always keeping the Piacenza exhibition center and the Municipality of Piacenza as privileged partners: “The fair has worked well, it has expanded further compared to previous years and some important exhibitors have already asked us to increase the space in 2023 and we will try to satisfy their requests ”, explains Potestà, who adds“ The liaison with Piacenza Expo is strong ”. In fact, again at Piacenza Expo, the GIC, The Italian Concrete Days / Italian Concrete Days, the only Italian event dedicated to machinery, equipment, products and technologies for the concrete industry, is also on the calendar. the prefabrication and restoration of reinforced concrete structures, including in seismic areas, which will open its doors on April 28, 2022. “Another rapidly growing event, whose 2020 edition had been canceled due to Covid just three days after inauguration ”, explains Potestà. In June 2022, on the other hand, the Pipeline & Gas Expo will be held, the first international event dedicated to “utility construction”, ie all companies that design, build and maintain utilities, such as aqueducts, gas pipelines, methane and oil pipelines. “Another fair that was canceled in 2020” explains Potestà, “another segment that did not have a reference fair event either in Italy or abroad, which we expect will be very successful”.
