44.6% of Italians know what the Individual Savings Plans and PIRs are and in 29% of cases they had information by reading newspapers or magazines in the sector. In 17.8% they know them thanks to the information received from their bank, while 16.5% were informed by their financial advisor. The role of investment sites is also important (14.7%), while word of mouth with friends and relatives is a little less important (8.3%). This is what emerges from the 1st report ‘Italians: savings and investment’ carried out by Euromedia Research and Banca Mediolanum. According to 48.1% of the interviewees, Pir is a form of investment that brings benefits above all to Italian companies or to European companies with a permanent establishment in our country. Only 18.4% think that this form of investment can bring greater benefits to investors.
