The Nexi Group protagonist at Money 20/20

The 2021 edition of ‘Money 20/20 Europe’ has just ended, the most important European event in the world of digital payments, held a few days ago in Amsterdam, in which the main players in the market presented their solutions and their more innovative products. An appointment in which the Nexi Group presented itself together, illustrating its offer at a futuristic stand, and in which it was the protagonist with a speech by Paolo Bertoluzzo: the CEO of PayTech spoke on the theme “How can we compete in highly consolidated sectors? “, outlining the strategies of the Group and the guidelines on which it will move in order to be increasingly competitive in Europe. Following the merger by incorporation of Nets into Nexi, in fact, the Group is consolidated as the reference in the world of digital payments in Europe for distinctive skills, for the scope of the distribution network, for the breadth of the offer and with a space market that is expanding to become four times larger than the Italian one. Present in more than 25 countries, which represent 65% of consumption in Europe, where the digital payments market is highly competitive, the Nexi Group is the first player in the old continent by number of merchants served (over 2.4 million) and by number of cards and volume of transactions (160 million payment cards managed) annually invests around 300 million in innovation and IT, relies on the distinctive skills of over 3 thousand specialists and 10 digital factories. Numbers that, as stated by Paolo Bertoluzzo during his speech, will contribute to the achievement of important results in the course of 2021: in fact, a 10% growth in revenues is expected in 2020 and an EbitDa of + 11/13%. This is also thanks to the recovery in consumption which is further increasing digital payments which, already with the pandemic, in Italy alone have jumped to 27% of total consumer spending compared to 24% in 2019. to “Money 20/20” its digital payment solutions for banks, small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies, institutions, citizens: from the open banking offer to the e-commerce proposal, from credit cards to debit cards, even international, up to payment solutions via smartphone.
