Draghi-Sbarra meeting, the themes on the table

Work, economic reforms but above all a new and modern social pact, which has been claimed for some time. According to Adnkronos, these were some of the themes at the center of the meeting between Prime Minister Mario Draghi and CISL leader Luigi Sbarra. Just over an hour of confrontation to give light to that request for an all-out dialogue that the leaders of CGIL, CISL and UIL had already jointly advocated in a joint letter sent to the premier on 1 September last. But also to go back to soliciting a wide-ranging consultation between the government, companies and trade unions on the model of the great agreements of the nineties with which to manage the nodes of the economic recovery that appears on the horizon and address the most urgent issues: from tax reform to that of pensions, from the reform of the school and public administration to the reform of social safety nets and active policies, from industrial policy choices to the strengthening of the welfare state that is able, as a result of the investments envisaged in the NRP, to create new production chains and social services and to create stable employment with particular attention to young people and women.
