Pirelli, from foundation to the start of a digital educational program on the business of the future

In collaboration with Pirelli Sustainable mobility, research on renewable raw materials, innovation and technological development, creativity and new communication tools and factories of the future: these will be the main themes at the center of the new 2021/2022 educational program ‘Business culture to design the future. Pirelli, a century and a half of stories and innovations’ by the Pirelli Foundation which since 2013 has been organizing workshops on the history and business culture of Pirelli. The presentation of the activities in detail is scheduled for September 20 at 5.30 pm, through the Teams digital platform.After last year’s success, which saw the online involvement of over 3,500 students from all over Italy, this year too the workshops will be carried out entirely digitally, through virtual tours, podcasts, videos and creative activities that will help children and young people to deepen the history of Pirelli’s corporate culture and will constitute the starting point for imagining its future. In particular, primary school children will be able to travel between different places and eras to discover the great inventions that have changed our daily life also through the birth and development of the first rubber factory in Italy. Secondary school students will be able to enter the world of tires, discover the most exciting races on Pirelli wheeled vehicles, produce podcasts and design posters, drawing inspiration from the great masters of graphics such as Bob Noorda, Lora Lamm and Bruno Munari. Or, again, develop the project of a corporate headquarters of the future respecting the fundamental criteria of sustainability, starting from the comparison with the projects of architects such as Gio Ponti, Vittorio Gregotti and Renzo Piano.
