Expo Dubai, Venice at the center of the inaugural week

The first of the thematic weeks of Expo Dubai focuses on “Climate Change and Biodiversity”: at the Italian Pavilion the theme will be developed with many initiatives dedicated to Venice as a local laboratory and international model for combating the effects of climate change and promoting innovative processes of environmental transition, cultural and social innovation. On 3 October, one of the two forums concerning the lagoon city will launch the candidacy of Venice as the world capital of sustainability on the Expo global platform. In the framework of the diplomatic corridor that links Expo Dubai, Cop26 and the Italian presidency of the G20, in the first week the Italian Pavilion will also promote multilateral initiatives dedicated to the link between climate and energy transition, to the development of circular economy models to protect the biodiversity of ecosystems, taking stock of the results of the pre-Cop26 events in Milan and looking at Cop26 scheduled in Glasgow.
