Spotlight on young farmers in this edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, which sees an exhibition space entirely dedicated to them at Parco Dora, where on Friday 23 September at 12.00 Ismea will present the main highlights of the Young Agri-food and Territory report. Thanks to the participation of Istat, the meeting will also be an opportunity to disclose some unpublished data from the latest census of Italian agriculture. The event is therefore a moment of comparison and reflection on recent trends in youth-run agriculture in Italy, on the important role played by young people in the territories to preserve the socio-economic and environmental fabric but also on the relevant gaps between urban areas. and rural areas that still feed the process of depopulation from the countryside. Finally, on the occasion of the meeting, Ismea will present the new land instrument “Generation Terra” which will soon be made available by the institute. The role of young people emerged from the seventh Istat census’; Giorgio Venceslai, Ismea Business Services Director: ‘Generazione Terra’, Ismea’s new land instrument for young people.
