National plan for non self-sufficiency, Orlando signs a decree for over 2.6 billion euros

These are important resources and tools to help the elderly, the most vulnerable people and their families who too often are left alone in the face of difficulties. A concrete answer to combat inequalities and build a new welfare model “. This was announced on Facebook by the Minister of Labor, Andrea Orlando. “There is little talk of social policies and support for the non self-sufficient, unfortunately, in these weeks of electoral campaign” and, continues the minister, today is “important news, an objective for which we have worked for a long time in these months, starting from the definition of the essential levels of social benefits “. The document signed by the minister for the new National Plan for non self-sufficient people, relating to the three-year period 2022-2024, allocates a total of over 2.6 billion euros. The Plan identifies the development of interventions for the gradual implementation of the essential levels of social benefits to be guaranteed throughout the national territory. Specifically, a note from the Ministry of Labor highlights, the resources relating to the Fund for the non self-sufficient amounted to: 822 million euros for 2022, 865.3 million euros for 2023, 913.6 million euros for 2024 Furthermore, the note specifies, actions aimed at the realization of the projects envisaged by the ‘Guidelines for independent living projects’ are also financed, on the basis of regional programming, for 183 areas involved and an overall amount of resources at national level equal to more than 14.6 million euros for each year of the three-year period 2022-2024.Finally, for the purposes of strengthening the Pua, Single Access Points, 20 million are envisaged for 2022 and 50 million euros for each year of the 2023- 2024, to be allocated to the hiring of personnel with social professionalism in the Social Territorial Areas. The decree, finally announced by the Ministry of Labor, was sent for signature to the Prime Minister and to the ministers Stefani, Speranza and Franco.
