95 years after the birth of the Bracco Group, yesterday, the event “From Neresine to Milan, the company of Fulvio Bracco” was held inside the Teatrino of the Bracco Foundation, organized in collaboration with the Venezia Giulia National Association Dalmatia (Anvgd). The Lombard capital enthusiastically welcomed the initiative dedicated to a figure who profoundly influenced the development of the city and of Italian chemistry. Fulvio Bracco, born in Neresine, Istria, in 1909, was among the pioneers of the industry – together with Pirelli, Falck, Ferrero, Agnelli, Barilla and others – a character capable of reconstructing an economic and civil fabric torn apart by the two wars and to project Italy into modernity. Not just industry and research. Fulvio Bracco was also a forerunner in the field of corporate social responsibility. In 1953, for example, he set up scholarships for young people which he named after his mother Nina Salata, sister of Senator Francesco Salata, historian and defender of the Italian spirit of Venezia Giulia. Bracco, was promoted as part of the schedule of activities dedicated to the 95th Anniversary of the Bracco group. “Fulvio Bracco was a positive person and taught me a lot – commented Diana Bracco, President and CEO of Bracco, at the opening of his speech – Starting from the passion for the sea and its lands such as Istria and Dalmatia, truly incredible places. I am proud of the undertaking, but also of the issue of the Julian Dalmatian exiles that has come forward remembering that they are all Italians. When my father moved to Milan he fell in love with this city and always had in mind to return everything he had received from a very open-minded territory “Finally, the President and CEO of the family group wanted to send a message of hope and trust in a world climate still shaken by the war in Ukraine: “We should leave aside personalities in a discourse of conflict that makes no sense”. Several men and women from regional and local institutions also took part in the important event. In fact, both regions (Lombardy and Friuli Venezia Giulia) sponsored the initiative: “The Bracco family is a piece of our country and the city of Milan – said Elena Buscemi, Councilor of the municipality of Milan – It is an example of great entrepreneurship, enthusiasm, energy and seriousness. I am here to represent the Milanese administration which has great respect for Bracco. “The Councilor for Culture and Autonomy of the Lombardy Region, Stefano Bruno Galli, shares the same opinion:” Fulvio Bracco was a great protagonist of Milanese / Lombard capitalism among the two World Wars. This region is the privileged laboratory of the economic boom that has occurred here before that elsewhere. Confirming the strong vocation for the economic and productive activities of this region “. Tiziana Gibelli, Councilor for Culture and Sport of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, then presented a plaque of gratitude from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region to Diana Bracco, for being “one of the most important entrepreneurs in the country and a great patron”, underlining the origins of the family Bracco linked to the Friuli / Julian territory: “Fulvio Bracco’s father studied and lived in Trieste. Dr. Bracco has a great bond with our land and we are proud “
