From Neresine to Milan, the company of Fulvio Bracco

The Bracco Group celebrates the 95th anniversary of its birth this year. As part of the initiatives to celebrate this milestone, tomorrow Tuesday 21 June at 18.00 was organized in collaboration with the National Association Venezia Giulia Dalmazia (Anvgd), an event that will be broadcast in live streaming on the channels of the Bracco Foundation, entirely dedicated to the figure of Cav. Lav. Fulvio Bracco, Diana’s father, current President and CEO of the family Group. Successful entrepreneur and patron Fulvio Bracco born in Neresine, Istria, in 1909, has profoundly influenced the development of the city of Milan and of Italian chemistry. Today, at a time when Europe is once again experiencing the tragedy of a war, his testimony is more relevant than ever and offers many lessons to young people. In fact, Bracco is part of that generation of industry pioneers, such as Pirelli, Falck, Ferrero, Agnelli, Barilla and so on, capable – between the two wars – of rebuilding an economic and civil fabric from the rubble and of projecting Italy. in modernity and in the age of well-being. Fulvio Bracco was a forerunner not only in industry and research, but also in the field of corporate social responsibility. In 1953, for example, he set up scholarships for young people that he named after his mother Nina Salata, sister of Senator Francesco Salata, a distinguished historian and staunch defender of the Italian spirit of Venezia Giulia who played a not marginal role in the irredentist struggles of the beginning of the twentieth century. The meeting of tomorrow 21 June, entitled “From Neresine to Milan – The Enterprise of Fulvio Bracco” will be opened by Renzo Codarin, National President of the ANVGD, and by Giuseppe de Vergottini, President of FederEsuli. Representing the institutions will be: Tommaso Sacchi, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Milan, Stefano Bruno Galli, Councilor for Culture and Autonomies of the Lombardy Region and Tiziana Gibelli, Councilor for Culture and Sport of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. In fact, both Regions sponsored the initiative, which follows the meeting organized last March for Ottavio Missoni, as part of the Municipality’s “Milan is memory” project. Initiatives promoted with the aim of reminding citizens of the human and entrepreneurial path of personalities who have profoundly influenced the development of Milan. together with the videomaker Simone Pontini he told through documents, photographs and the testimony of his daughter Diana Bracco the significant moments in the life of the great pharmaceutical entrepreneur. Other valuable interventions and testimonies scheduled are those of the journalist Anna Maria Mori, of the Trieste professor Davide Rossi, of Prof. Alberto Santa Maria, Founding Shareholder of the Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria studio and of Giorgio Porta, former President of Federchimica.
