Covid, the technology arrives that ‘inactivates’ it indoors. It is called E4Shield, it can be programmed in the future also for different variants and new pathogens, and has been developed by Elettronica Group. This is one of the innovation projects, born within the ecosystem of Mind – Milan INnovation District, and will be applied by Lendlease in the spaces of the district. The system, completely made in Italy, works in closed environments such as schools, lifts, means of transport, and is able to inactivate the virus in aerosols, helping to mitigate the pandemic threat.The technological innovation of E4Shield is based on scientific evidence reported in various contributions of the literature, including a study published by the journal Nature, which have amply demonstrated the ability of electromagnetic waves to inhibit the viral load of pathogens, the creators note. The solution was developed using the scientific partnership of the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan and the scientific department of the Celio Military Hospital to conduct tests and the Virostatics laboratories to validate the inactivation of the virus in aerosols.
