Lega Serie A, package 2 of Sky TV rights

Lega Serie A has assigned package 2 of TV rights for the next three years to Sky, which is thus added to Dazn. 16 clubs voted in favor of the pay TV offer, after a long meeting. In a note, the “Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A announces that the Assembly met on May 14, 2021, pursuant to the provisions of the Call for Offers for Audiovisual Rights Serie A Championship Direct Paid Packages for the Italian territory – Procedure reserved for Communication Operators – Sports Seasons 2021/2022, 2022/2023, 2023/2024 of January 4, 2021 and the Invitation to Private Negotiation of April 27, 2021, approved the assignment of the Audiovisual Rights of Package 2 to Sky Italia Srl provided that Sky Italia Srl renounces – with a formal written deed to be sent to the League and to be filed electronically in court by the deadline of 24 hours today 14 May 2021 after which the validity of the acceptance will definitively cease – appeal pursuant to 669-bis and 700 cpc notified on 23 April 2021 and promoted before the Court of Milan (RG n. 7238/2021), as well as the merit actions based on the same reasons given in the appeal “.
