Also this year at the top of the ranking of institutions admitted for the destination of 5 per thousand for the financial year 2021 are voluntary bodies (52,162), followed by amateur sports associations (11,854), bodies engaged in scientific research (528) , entities operating in the health sector (106), cultural and landscape heritage entities (146) and entities managing protected areas (24). The list also includes 7,918 Municipalities, to which 14.9 million euros are earmarked. This is what emerges from the data published on the institutional website of the Revenue Agency. Overall, there are over 72,000 bodies, including voluntary work, health and scientific research, amateur sports associations, bodies for the protection of cultural and landscape assets, bodies managing protected areas and almost 8,000 municipalities, which have been admitted. Based on the choices made by citizens, 5 per thousand 2021 will distribute a total of almost 507 million euros to more than 72 thousand admitted entities. In the lead, as a sector, volunteering is confirmed, recipient of over 331 million. The second sector is health research, awarded with over 76 million euros, while in third place there is another sector linked to research, the scientific one, to which a total of 66.2 million euros will be allocated. Followed by Municipalities (14.9 million euros), amateur sports associations (15.4 million), bodies for the protection of cultural and landscape assets (with over 2 million) and bodies managing protected areas (609 thousand euros).
