Eroc, the European center of regenerative agriculture, is born

From the collaboration between Rodale and the Davines Group, Eroc (European Regenerative Organic Center) was born, the first European center of the Rodale Institute, an American non-profit organization specialized since 1947 in studies and research on regenerative agriculture, today more than ever at the center of attention in the context of the new frontiers of sustainability. He is led by CEO Jeff Moyer, a luminary in the sector of the organic regenerative movement, who in his speech underlined how easy it was to start the partnership with the Davines Group given the objectives that the two companies share. For almost 80 years the Rodale Institute has been making its knowledge gained in the field available by growing the organic movement through research, the training of farmers and the education of consumers, following the principles of JI Rodale according to which a healthy soil produces healthy food. which in turn promotes people’s health. The presentation of the project was held at Davines Village in Parma. The Davines Group is a B Corp and benefit company, specializing in professional cosmetic products. It has 700 collaborators worldwide and operates in 86 countries, with 7 branches: New York, London, Paris, Mexico City, Deventer (Holland), Hong Kong and Shanghai. Science and sustainability are the pillars of the group, told by the 4 B’s: Be sustainable, Believe in science, B Corp, Benefit. The holistic approach of the Davines Group has led to the launch of this partnership with the Rodale Institute, a pioneer and leader in research on Regenerative Organic Agriculture, of world renown. The goal of this alliance is to expand the supply of regenerative organic ingredients, through traced and sustainable supply chains, to train farmers and push the frontiers of sustainability even further in terms of research, science and contribution to safeguarding biodiversity and sequestration of CO2. The new Rodale center uses 15 hectares of land and will specialize in research and training at the service of small and medium-sized European farms, which preserve local crops dedicated to food, nutrition and beauty. The center will focus on the management of organic agriculture in a Mediterranean climate, as well as on the close relationship between personal care ingredients and agriculture. This work will significantly contribute to increasing the area of ​​agricultural land managed according to the standards of regenerative agriculture for the benefit of both farmers, who produce food, fibers and organic active ingredients, and for people’s health, but also for the well-being of the planet itself. .
