‘We are energy’ project, Acea rewards students

Acea takes the field with young people for the energy of the future and to raise students’ awareness on the issues of sustainability and energy saving. These are the objectives of the project ‘We are energy! Turn off the light and turn on your imagination ‘, the second digital edition of the Acea Scuola initiative which today ended with the awarding of the winning schools. The initiative is part of the path that the Acea Group started in 2002 to promote information and training activities on environmental sustainability, an educational project designed to raise awareness among students through a multimedia educational: 3D films and educational paths this year told the challenges posed by the energy issue, such as the use of renewable sources or the need to reduce unnecessary consumption in everyday life. The schools participating in the project participated in a contest that saw the students engaged in the creation of video messages, lasting a maximum of 2 minutes with the aim of expressing a concept regarding energy and energy saving, also in consideration of the lived period. health emergency. The first prize went to the comprehensive Tacito Guareschi institute; the second to the comprehensive Orsa Maggiore and the third to the Pincherle institute. The prizes will be distributed in vouchers that can be used to purchase technical material useful for teaching. “Young people are the energy of the future. The Acea Scuola initiative ‘We are energy! Turn off the light and turn on your fantasy ‘has been a great success. Through the videos made, the boys and girls showed great sensitivity to the theme and considerable creativity. Education in the responsible use of resources is of fundamental importance to face the challenge of the energy transition. A challenge that we must take up together with young people to increasingly strengthen the culture of sustainability ”, observes the president of the Acea Group, Michaela Castelli. “Sustainability has always guided our strategies. Thanks to initiatives like this we are able to raise awareness among young people on important issues and above all we try to make them reflect on how necessary it is to change the habits of our daily life.
