During the private Shareholders’ Meeting, president Saverio Cecchi proudly confirmed “also in 2021 the growth of the Association which was accompanied by a reactive and solid growth of the sector, with positive prospects also for the current nautical year. . And it is no small thing, given the economic-political scenarios we are going through “. The Research Department presented the results of a survey carried out on a significant sample of associated companies regarding the procurement of raw materials and components and the consequences on production and deliveries. Compared to the previous survey, it is highlighted that the delivery times of raw materials from the main suppliers in 2021 were longer than the standard values, but have stabilized in recent months: 24% up to 4 weeks, 39% (compared to a previous 45%) between 5 and 8 weeks, 13% between 9 and 15 weeks, 17% between 16 and 30 weeks, 7% over 30 weeks. This has led to the need for adequate scheduling of raw material and component orders to suppliers. For 92% of the sample, many suppliers of raw materials and components increased their price lists compared to the previous year. The companies were also asked if there had been an impact on orders following the European sanctions imposed on Russia: 60% of the companies replied no, 32% replied affirmatively but with little significant impact. 8% said the impact was significant. President Cecchi then thanked the Vice Presidents – Maurizio Balducci, Andrea Razeto, Piero Formenti and Alessandro Gianneschi – for the projects they have followed with tireless competence and passion. From support to institutional activities on crucial issues for the sector – guarantees on refitting works for foreign units, boat license examination, tax credit for midday, leasing, Altomare, 8bis and on-board equipment, non-EU maritime visas, leasing and boat rental, state-owned concessions -, to the promotion of the Genoa International Boat Show, to the active participation in the Confindustria Sea Project which welcomes the strategies and proposals of the system aimed at the excellence of Made in Italy. And again, the network of sponsorships promoted by the Association in support of local initiatives of value for the sector and the coordination of the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies. for an update on the 62nd edition of the International Boat Show to be held in Genoa from 22 to 27 September next. In particular, the path that in 2023 will deliver a redeveloped and international level area to the Boat Show continues: “Road to 2023” will lead to the construction of the new Boat Show, thanks to the works of the new Levante Waterfront in Genoa, which it will offer to the event a spectacular, functional and scenographic layout, giving further impetus and strength to the event confirming its centrality. The Assembly closed with the approval of Confindustria Nautica’s final balance sheet for the 2021 financial year. “The balance sheet – concluded the General Manager Marina Stella – reflects all these projects and investments and records positive results, with a constant strengthening of the economic and financial position of our Association”.
