With Terna’s ‘Driving Energy 2022 Award’ awards and shows at the PalaExpo in Rome

An award for capturing energy in one shot. This is the challenge launched to all photographers in Italy by Terna who presented the ‘Driving Energy 2022 Award – Contemporary Photography’ today in Rome. An initiative, open to all photographers in Italy, aimed at promoting the cultural development of the country and new talents in the sector, which received the Medal of the President of the Republic. Registration open from May 30th. The Jury, after selecting the finalists, will decide the 5 winners of the competition: Senior, who will win a prize of 15,000 euros, Young, who will be awarded a prize of 5,000 euros, and three Special Mentions, each of which will be awarded a prize of 2,000 euros. In particular, the first Mention will be assigned to the photograph most voted by the more than 5,100 people who work at Terna, who will have the opportunity to view the images on the new TernaCult corporate portal, dedicated precisely to the themes of art and culture. The second and third Mention will be attributed to photographic works which, according to the Jury, will best interpret two thematic ideas of particular relevance and relevance, inspired by the values ​​of inclusion and environmental sustainability, pillars of Terna’s action: “Contemporary normality” and “Circularity. Courses and appeals “. The world today offers new lifestyles and new habits, more effective and functional to the challenges posed by the energy transition. A paradigm shift also for the economy, from linear to circular, therefore, sustainable business involves the adoption of circularity practices, at 360 °. The finalist photographic works will be exhibited in November in an exhibition set up by Terna in Rome, at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, which will be inaugurated with the announcement of the five winners and will be open to the public free of charge. Furthermore, they will be published in the third edition of the photographic volume Driving Energy, this year declined as the official catalog of the Award.
