Sustainable innovations in concrete at Gic 2022

From the full electric concrete mixer and cement mixer, to the additives that reduce CO2 emissions in the creation of cement, up to the production cycles completely managed by Artificial Intelligence. These are some of the innovations presented at the fourth edition of the Gic, the Italian Concrete Days, scheduled until 30 April in the pavilions of the Piacenza Expo. In the more than 15 thousand square meters of the exhibition area, the 234 exhibitors present at the event propose the main innovations in terms of machines, equipment and technologies for the concrete supply chain, prefabrication, demolition of reinforced concrete structures, recycling and transport of aggregates, flooring continuous and screeds. Three guidelines for this edition of the Italian Concrete Days: workplace safety, environmental challenge, innovation. “At the moment Mapei is concentrating heavily on sustainability – explains Riccardo Chinosi, Mapei corporate project manager additives, we are working on new additives that make it possible to produce concrete with the lowest possible CO2 impact. More eco-sustainable cements with both recycled aggregates and with industrial cements. The Cube Line is already on the market, super-fluidifying additives that help develop resistance to short curing, allowing excellent performance without accelerated curing “. Sustainability is also the watchword of Cifa spa, a manufacturer of concrete machinery with 90 years of history. “Our Energy Line is totally zero emissions – explains Marco Polastri, Cifa’s commercial director.” Already in 2015 Cifa introduced the first electric concrete mixer, now also available on electric trucks. These years of testing have allowed us to refine the product and create a range of concrete machines that has the same performance as the conventional range. After the concrete mixer, today we propose the concrete mixer pump and other products will be presented during 2022 in the pumping range “. At the Gic 2022 Cifa also presented the K36L5,” a 36-meter truck-mounted three-axle pump. It is a machine developed for the Italian market, 100% tailor made. We have also brought our Five Tech batching plants – continues Polastri – a new range integrated with all the other Cifa machines thanks to the 4.0 software. Through the Cifa Vista technology, which we introduced in 2021, in fact, our customers have the ability to remotely monitor the fleet of machines in real time: to geolocate it, analyze production data, machine parameters and can also provide assistance from remote “. Artificial Intelligence also characterizes Imer’s proposals, thanks to the ‘Imerview’ technology, as explained by Giacomo Perego, marketing manager:” We brought three machines to Gic to celebrate the rebirth after a tough period. Our flagship products are: Speedcast 5.0, Booster 50 and, above all, the Gerris 800, a concrete distribution arm, awarded here at the Gic “. Omg srl – SICo is the one who combines innovation, environmental challenge and safety at work. ., as the managing director Paolo Galletti explains: “Our product is aimed at ecology and safety. Ecology because thanks to our machines we are able to inertize dangerous products, making them reusable for infrastructural works that require lower cost aggregates, because they come from a previous production cycle. Regarding safety, at this year’s Gic we offer a range of machines designed to maximize operator safety. “But at the three days in Piacenza there are also those who have decided to use the Gic showcase to collect the well-deserved awards after years behind the scenes work. It is Elettrosigma, a leading company in Italy for the supply of software dedicated to the production of concrete. “After having remained behind the scenes for many years, our customers have asked us to be present and visible at the Gic”, explains Moreno Marola, CEO of Elettrosigma. “We deal with industrial automation in the concrete mixing sector. We have brought two novelties to the Gic: the first is the ‘Truckmove’, which is a software system that controls the delivery of concrete from batching to commissioning on site. The second is the complete ‘revamping’ of the batching plants from a software and management point of view, where we check all the predictive and ordinary maintenance, in order to give a complete service to the operator of the batching plant “.” Later two years of total blockade of the exhibition sector due to anti-contagion regulations, all 234 exhibitors present at Gic 2022 – the first show in attendance dedicated to the concrete supply chain at European level – are proposing something new “, explains Fabio Potestà, director of Mediapoint & exhibitions, organizer of the GIC. “A fact that has increased the interest of operators in this fourth edition of the Piacenza exhibition”.
