Abi, hacker attack: sensitive data encrypted and ransom demanded

Hacker attack on ABI, the Italian Banking Association. The website and internal network were hacked by an attack by the Vice Society ransomware group. The encrypted data, for which a ransom was requested as stated in an ad posted by the hackers themselves, was shown online through screenshots and contains sensitive financial information and confidential documents including credit card numbers, medical certificates and the budget statements of the association, in addition to the entry and exit stamping of staff or, among others, the specifications of the electronic devices made available to employees. At the moment the ABI portal is difficult to consult, with slowdowns and pages not viewable.
