Bper Banca returns to the historic center of L’Aquila. The inauguration ceremony at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele headquarters took place this morning, twelve years after the 2009 earthquake, in the presence of the President of the Bank Flavia Mazzarella and a large number of local institutions. The building has undergone a thorough renovation that involved the entire building, for a total of 4,000 square meters. “For BPER Banca, for the city and for the entire Abruzzo region, this is a historic event that once again seals the solid and profound relationship with our Institute”, declared Flavia Mazzarella, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BPER Bank. “I live this moment with particular emotion – he added – aware of the role that the Bank has always played and will continue to play, alongside families and businesses, in consolidating the path of rebirth and development of the L’Aquila community. From this point of view, the long-awaited return to the headquarters in the center, in addition to having a strong symbolic value, is also a very concrete sign of closeness and support to the population and institutions “. The Deputy General Manager and Chief Business Officer of Bper Banca Pierpio Cerfogli underlined “the convinced and constant intervention of the Bank in support of citizens and the local business fabric, put to the test first by the earthquake of 2009, then by the pandemic. There were long critical phases – he recalled – in which Bper Banca made available all the necessary financial and economic instruments, well aware of the fundamental role it has a duty to play “. In the Corso Vittorio Emanuele headquarters, after the restoration, the basement and the ground floor are functional, where the offices for customers are located – an open space that creates a “unicum” between the building and the Corso -, the first floor with the offices of the General Management and the second where other offices of the same Management are located.
