Poste also recalls how, in continuity with what has been done so far and with the aim of avoiding gatherings, the payment of pensions in cash will take place according to a following alphabetical shift which may vary according to the number of days the reference Post Office is open. On Tuesday 27 July we start for surnames from A to C, then from D to G on Wednesday 28, from H to M on Thursday 29, from N to R on Friday 30 and from S to Z on Saturday morning 31 July. Poste Italiane also reminds that citizens aged 75 or over who receive social security benefits at Post Offices, who normally collect their pension in cash and who have not already delegated other subjects to withdraw their pension, can request to receive free sums of money at their home, delegating the Carabinieri to collect them. The new methods of payment of pensions – recalls Poste – “are precautionary and have been introduced with the primary objective of ensuring the protection of the health of Italian post”. Therefore, everyone must wear a protective mask, enter the office only when previous customers leave, keep a distance of at least one meter, both waiting outside the offices and in the rooms open to the public.
