Tobacco, Laureti: “Mipaaf-Philip Morris Italy agreement, step towards a more sustainable supply chain”

“The agreement that is renewed today symbolizes progress in the path initiated by Philip Morris to promote and make the Italian tobacco supply chain more sustainable, in line with the objectives of the European green deal”. This is the comment by MEP Camilla Laureti on the renewal, also for 2022, of the agreement between the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (Mipaaf) and Philip Morris Italy for the promotion of the Italian tobacco supply chain. “The collaboration with Coldiretti represents a remarkable opportunity to allow thousands of Italian farms to optimize production and look to the long term with a view to innovation and greater competitiveness”, concludes Laureti.
