Naspi 2021, amount calculation: how much it amounts

How much of Naspi is taken in 2021 and how is the amount due calculated? The amount of the unemployment benefit is calculated based on the worker’s earnings history. This is one of the rules to know in order to understand how much Naspi is paid monthly. Specifically, to determine the amount recognized each month, the average salary received by the worker in the four years preceding the Naspi request is considered. Workers who apply for unemployment will be entitled to an allowance equal to 75% of the average monthly wage, if it is lower than the limit of 1,227.55 euros. On the other hand, for those who have received wages exceeding this threshold, an additional amount equal to 25% of the difference between the average monthly wage and the amount of 1,227.55 euros must be added to the base amount of 75%. In any case, each worker will not be able to obtain a monthly amount exceeding a certain threshold, revalued annually on the basis of changes in the ISTAT Index and communicated by INPS. As regards the Naspi 2021, the maximum limit is set at 1,335.40 euros per month. The general rules provided must then be accompanied by the innovations introduced in consideration of the employment and economic emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. the d├ęcalage mechanism is suspended, ie the monthly cut of 3% of the amount recognized starting from the fourth month of use of the Naspi. The novelty was introduced by the Sostegni decree and, in essence, if usually the amount of Naspi is progressively reduced, for the allowances paid from 1 June to 31 December 2021, the curtailment ceases, only to return to starting from January 1, 2022. The start of the new year will however lead to an important thinning of Naspi: the amount due, starting from January 1, 2022, will be calculated by applying the total of the curtailments frozen in the second half of the year in course.
