Export, Rizzi: ‘After the conflict in Ukraine, we will intensify relations with EU states’

“After the conflict in Ukraine something has changed and puts us in a position to intensify relations with the member states of the European community: this must be our beacon”. This was stated by Alan Rizzi, the undersecretary with responsibility for relations with the international delegations of the Lombardy Region, during his speech at the North Management, the exhibition now in its fifteenth edition, underway at Palazzo delle Stelline, in Milan, where Riccardo also participated Garosci, president of Aice, Vito Rotondi, CEO and Managing Director of MEP, and Maurizio Irrera, professor of commercial law at the University of Turin. The beacon of the most intense relations with European states “also determines an ability to become autonomous from the point of view of food supply and the supply of new sustainable energy sources”, says Rizzi. “The Lombardy Region exchanges 270 billion euros with the world, of which 137, according to the final data of 2021, concern exports and we must focus on this” adds Rizzi, with the aim of “increasing dialogue with those countries with which trade is higher, like France and Germany. Only the latter two characterize 75/80 billion of trade “. Not only France and Germany: relations will also be intensified with “the Baltic countries, those which are welcoming refugees, such as Poland, but also Hungary and the Czech Republic”, Rizzi points out. “The world looks for us and copies us – concludes Rizzi – they want our excellence, they want to take an example from what we do in Lombardy: we represent 49% of the patents filed in Italy and 60% of foreign investors who choose Italy are here with us “.
