These are some of the innovations conceived among the eight winners of the third edition of the Confagricoltura National Award for Innovation, presented today at Palazzo Della Valle at the award ceremony in the presence of the Minister of Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli and the President Massimiliano Giansanti. The winning companies divided by categories are: Canova di Gambara (Brescia) produces cereals and has a beef cattle farm that has introduced irrigation and variable rate fertilization systems as an innovation on corn crops. Il Noceto is an Organization of Producers in Chiarano (Treviso) which has implemented, as an innovation, the interconnection of production and quality processes. The Parapini cereal company located in Settala (Mi) is innovative for the use of precision farming, carbon farming, minimum tillage and cover crops. Furthermore, Fattorie Menesello, a farm located in Lozzo Atestino (Pd), one of the oldest Italian poultry farms, gives life to Natura Organica, an innovative start-up that develops a totally organic-based fertilizer production system. BugsLife, on the other hand, is an innovative startup that works alongside the Iraci Borgia Agricultural Company in Perugia, and is characterized by the breeding of insects, in particular the soldier fly, on a large scale, for the production of protein flours for pet food (pets). The Rondolino Sca company, located in Livorno Ferraris (Vc), leader and excellence in the production of rice that has introduced an innovative method and a plant for the production of a ready-to-use food product based on rice bud, has also been awarded. . And then La Cerreta, a farm located in Castiglione del Lago (Pg), which As an innovation has integrated its cattle breeding, agritourism and farm activities with a path with 14 works of contemporary art in the open air fields. Finally, Al Rocol, in Ome (Bs), one of the first agritourism companies opened in Franciacorta. The innovation that distinguishes it is a digital platform, which it is developing, to network tourism, cultural and agri-food businesses in the area.
