The monthly growth in industry turnover continues in November. In November, Istat estimates that industry turnover, net of seasonal factors, will increase by 2.4% compared to October, with a positive trend both on the domestic market (+ 2.2%) and on the foreign market (+ 2.7%). On the average for the September-November quarter, the overall index recorded an increase of 3.5% compared to the previous three months (+ 4.7% on the domestic market and + 1.5% on the foreign market). Adjusted for calendar effects, the total turnover grows in trend terms by 22.2% (the working days were 21 as in November 2020). With reference to the main groupings of industries, in November the seasonally adjusted indices of turnover show a cyclical increase for all the main sectors: energy (+ 4.0%), intermediate goods (+ 3.1%), consumption (+ 2.4%) and capital goods (+ 1.1%). As regards the indexes corrected for calendar effects referring to the main groupings of industries, there are very marked tendential increases for energy (+ 81.0%) and intermediate goods (+ 30.7%), more contained for consumer goods (+ 18.0%) and capital goods (+ 8.4%). With reference to the manufacturing sector, the trend increases concern all sectors of economic activity with the exception of the means of transport sector.
