Alilauro marries intermodality with the Municipality of Naples and Unico Campania

The future is in intermodality. With the possibility for citizens to join a series of transport services with the payment of a single ticket. Thus Alilauro is the first Italian maritime public transport company to present – together with the Municipality of Naples and the Consorzio Unico Campania – a Maas4Italy project (Mobility as a service for Italy), sensing one of the lines of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr ). The project, reads a note, provides for the integration of multiple modes of transport (for example e-bikes, buses, car sharing and hydrofoils) to move around the territory of Naples and the province, also thanks to intermediation platforms that provide end users with a variety of services ranging from travel planning to booking and payments all in one ticket. The MaaS, in whose implementation the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition (Mitd) and the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility (Mims) are involved, is in fact a new concept of mobility that provides for the integration of multiple services of public and private transport, accessible to the end user through a single digital channel. Naples is one of the 13 cities that presented an expression of interest in November and now, in the second phase, they have responded to the public notice by applying to test their platforms as pilot projects. “The PNRR has invested 40 million for the Maas4Italy project – explains l ‘sole director of Alilauro, Eliseo Cuccaro – We are proud to participate to give our contribution to help make Campania more connected with a project that looks to the future.
