Webuild brings av to the USA, a large sustainable mobility project for Texas

A high-speed line, the first in the United States, to connect two major cities, Houston and Dallas, in less than 90 minutes and rewrite mobility in Texas in a sustainable way. It will be created by the Italian group Webuild which has been awarded the maxi order worth 16 billion dollars. The Texas High Speed ​​Rail will ensure fast, safe, and environmentally friendly travel for 13 million people who today travel between the two cities by car – the most popular way for Americans to travel across the Texas state – or by plane. From an environmental standpoint, the Dallas-Houston train is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 700,000 tons per year and 14,630 fewer vehicles per day will travel on Interstate 45 between Houston and Dallas. The train is 6 times more energy efficient than the car and emits about one twelfth of carbon dioxide than a Boeing 777-200.
