73% of Italians declare that they will go on vacation this year, an increase compared to the 2020 forecasts, when 70% of the population declared it. This is what emerges from the survey conducted by italiani.coop (Coop’s research and analysis tool) for Robintur Travel Group ‘Italians and the holidays of the restart’. The 2019 data, when 82% declared they wanted to go on vacation, still remain ” a mirage ” and the definitive data of 2020 holidaymakers prove it: ” last year at the end, despite the most high, only 55% of Italians went on vacation, 17 million fewer than those who went in 2019 ”. And also this year, according to the surveys carried out, ” the economic crisis that influences the choices reappears as a disincentive; in fact, among the first reasons why 27% of the sample declare not to leave is the need to save (38% of them say this against 25% last year) ”.
