Pnrr, Gibelli (Asstra): “We need to reposition Tpl companies”

” There are new needs of society that we must keep in mind: smart working has gone from 4% to 25% and there will be no turning back, indeed people will ask to work from home to have more free time. This is a paradigm shift for all local public transport companies. The resources of the NRP must help us to get out of this moment of crisis and to reposition the Tpl companies ”. This was underlined by Andrea Gibelli, president of Asstra, the national association of local public transport, on the occasion of the Next Generation Mobility conference. We are here to demonstrate to the legislator on the ground that we must listen to what companies. If we want to achieve the recovery and resilience of the country, we must also reposition companies – underlines Gibelli – by freeing cities from cars, giving way to more common transport. The cities in 15 minutes of travel time can be reached time, only by leaving the private car and giving more space to public transport. Sustainability means moving together and thus promoting the energy transition. We at Asttra will work together to promote planning for new, more sustainable public transport ”.
