Seven Big Techs for a public and shared climate footprint

Google Alphabet, Amazon, Autodesk, eBay, Facebook, Intel and Salesforce wrote a letter to the SEC to ask all companies for public disclosure of climate data A group of seven technology companies urged the Securities and Exchange Commission to request companies to regularly produce and disclose to its shareholders all data relating to the impact of its operations on climate and environmental issues. In a letter to SEC President Gary Gensler, executives from Google Alphabet, Amazon, Autodesk, eBay, Facebook, Intel and Salesforce shared their views on calling for public debate and openness to this kind of corporate communications. The companies wrote in their open letter: “We believe climate communications are essential to ensure that companies are following their stated commitments and to monitor collective progress in tackling global warming and building a zero economy. carbon emissions that is prosperous and resilient. “In the letter, the group outlined a whole range of principles that it believes the SEC should incorporate into its climate disclosure rules.
