Eicma returns to the Milan Fair, with over 820 exhibitors from 36 countries

Over 820 exhibitors from 36 different countries. These are some of the numbers of the 78th edition of Eicma, the international two-wheeler show, inaugurated at the Rho-Pero Fair, just outside Milan. A return, after the 2020 break due to the Covid emergency, awaited by producers and enthusiasts. Within the five pavilions occupied this year, over 820 brands, 47% of which are foreign, will stage news, previews and the future of mobility on two wheels until next Sunday, November 28th. “If there is a characteristic that distinguishes our industry – said Pietro Meda, president of Eicma – it is precisely that of loyalty to its people. The need to maintain this relationship with the public and the absence of Eicma in 2020 have favored the spread of digital initiatives, which on the one hand have undoubtedly kept alive the interest around the news of our sector, but on the other have declared the need for physical and emotional contact with the products: today we return to the presence and still do of Milan, the world capital of two wheels “. The president of Confindustria Ancona, Paolo Magri, underlined that the Italian companies of the sector present at the show “confirm on this stage their primacy in Europe for production, sales, know-how and beauty”. The national two-wheeler sector in Italy generates a total value of over 7 billion euros and offers employment to more than 100,000 employees. “The two-wheeler sector is a key sector for the growth of the general economy of our country and specifically of Lombardy”, said the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana. And for the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, “it will certainly be a very topical exhibition. The expected audience will be 30% compared to 2019, but it is already excellent. At this moment there are very few fairs here, with courage and prudence, we are starting up again “.
