Cresco Award 2021, the best projects of the Italian municipalities awarded

Oliveri (Me), Terre Roveresche (Pu), Forlimpopoli (Fc), Pesaro and Milan won the Cresco Award 2021, the recognition of the Sodalitas Foundation, promoted in collaboration with Anci, for the commitment of the municipalities in making the territories grow from economic, social and environmental point of view. The Municipality of Oliveri was awarded for the cleanliness and protection of the seabed, Terre Roveresche for the innovative waste rate calculated on the basis of the CO2 produced by the users, the initiatives for the individual and collective care of public parks are the basis of the award. in Forlimpopoli, Pesaro for Green Public Procurement for the Brancati school, while civic crowdfunding brought the award to Milan. These are the winning projects of the sixth edition of Cresco Award – Sustainable Cities, promoted by the Sodalitas Foundation which also had the patronage of the European Commission, the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. The contest rewards the commitment of Italian municipalities for the sustainable development of the territories in line with the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda. The prizes, awarded by an independent jury chaired by the rector of the Milan Polytechnic, Ferruccio Resta, were awarded Mayors and councilors of the winning Municipalities during an event held as part of the 38th annual meeting of the Anci (National Association of Italian Municipalities) at the Parma Fair Over one hundred projects from 90 entities (Municipalities, Metropolitan Cities, Communities Montane or Unions of Municipalities throughout Italy) to which the over 600 presented in previous editions must be added, which can be consulted in the Cresco Library, the online database in which all the projects, organizations and participating companies have been collected. “Never how in this moment it is essential to strengthen the resilience of the territories and the sustainability of the communities – declared Alessandro Beda, managing director of Fondaz Sodalitas ion – In this sixth edition of the Cresco Award, the Municipalities have demonstrated how the implementation and integration of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are an increasingly concrete priority in their management.
