The court issued an arrest warrant for the former head of the NAKA Kaľavský operation – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. A specialized criminal court has issued arrest warrants against the accused former head of the National Criminal Agency (NAKA) operation, Ján Kaľavský.

This was stated for the SITA agency by the court spokeswoman Katarína Kudjáková.

“The judge for the preparatory proceedings of the Specialized Criminal Court granted the proposal of the prosecutor of the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s Office and on October 1, 2021 issued an arrest warrant and a European and International Arrest Warrant to JK, accused of continuing the crime of accepting bribes and others.”

In September, the Special Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against Ján Kaľavský for continuing corrupt crime committed in parallel with the continuing crime of abuse of power by a public official.

Already this year, Kaľavský faced accusations of misuse of the powers of a public official, Prosecutor General ‘s Office however, she canceled it.

Ján Kaľavský also acts as a witness in the case of four accused investigators NAKA, whom the Regional Court in Bratislava released from custody on Friday, October 1.
