In the territory of western Slovakia, meteorologists point out the wind, which can suddenly reach a speed of 65 to 70 kilometers per hour. In this context, they issued a first-degree warning for most of the Trnava region, as well as for the districts of Malacky, Myjava, Levice, Nitra and Nové Zámky. The alert is valid from 10:00 to 18:00. “This speed poses a potential danger to human activities,” specified.

Beware of the mountains as well

They also warn against winds in the mountains, which can be a potential danger, especially for hiking and climbing. SHMÚ issued a warning for most of the Žilina region and for the districts of Poprad, Banská Bystrica and Brezno, which is valid from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.

In the Tvrdošín district, a fog warning with a visibility of 50 to 200 meters also applies until 9.00 am. “Reduced visibility poses a potential danger to transport activities,” added by meteorologists.
