Former inspector Szabó sentenced to three years suspended – HNonline.sk

The accused director of the Office of the Inspection Service, Adrián Szabó, was sentenced today by a single judge of the Specialized Criminal Court in Pezinok to a three-year suspended sentence suspended for five years.

The judge thus approved an agreement on guilt and punishment, which the accused concluded with the prosecutor of the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s Office on 17 August. The approved agreement has become valid and it is not possible to appeal against the verdict.

Adrián Szabó, former director of the national financial police unit of the National Criminal Agency (NAKA), Bernard S., and former NAKA official Marián K., are being prosecuted for the crime of abuse of power by a public official and corruption.

NAKA detained Szabó on June 3. Corrupt crime was to consist of accepting consumer electronics and cash of at least EUR 20,000. He was to receive bribes from Bernard Slobodník. He is the only direct witness in the case.
