The tragic accident took place in the southern suburbs of Milan, San Donato Milanese. There, a small private plane with six passengers and two crew members crashed into a two-story office building, which was reportedly being renovated and contained no people.

The plane took off from Milan Linate Airport on Sunday afternoon and was headed for Sardinia, but after a few minutes of flight it crashed into a building. The cause of the accident was not immediately known. According to witnesses, the plane was on fire before it hit the building; therefore, allegations appeared that his engine had ignited. The whole event began to be investigated by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, whose experts have already discovered the so-called black box.

As a result of the crash, several cars caught fire in a nearby car park, but they were apparently empty. The building itself, which crashed into the plane, also started to burn. Rising dark smoke was visible even at a distance of several kilometers. The cause of the accident was not immediately known. According to some witnesses, the aircraft’s engine caught fire shortly before the crash. The whole incident has already been investigated by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority.

Dan Petrescu was 68 years old, owned a large construction company and also owned a network of hypermarkets and shopping malls. In addition to Romanian, he also had German citizenship. His 65-year-old wife, who is also fighting a French citizen, and their 30-year-old son Dan Stefano also died in the crash. Among the victims of the tragedy is one child.
