PRAGUE. According to the latest and at the same time one of the last pre-election polls, the YES movement would win the Prime Minister in the elections to the Czech Chamber of Deputies, which will take place in less than a week. Andrej Babiš with a gain of 27.3 percent of the vote.

In second place would be the coalition Together, followed by the coalition of Pirates and Mayors and Independents (STAN). The CSSD government would not get into the lower house of parliament.

This emerges from a survey conducted by the STEM agency at the end of September for the Czech news television CNN Prima News.

The popularity of the YES movement has declined slightly compared to some surveys in recent months. At the beginning of September, the poll polled YES to 32.4 percent of the vote.

However, even according to the latest STEM survey, the movement would win ahead of other parties, writes the Novinky.cz portal.

The Coalition Together (composed of ODS, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL) would finish second with a gain of 21.4 percent. A coalition of Pirates and STAN would follow with a gain of 17.4 percent of the vote.

Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) led by Tomio Okamura (12.3 percent of the vote) would also enter the lower house of parliament. The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) would also fight for it with a profit of 6.5 percent.

The threshold of five percent of the votes required for election to the Chamber of Deputies would be narrowly exceeded by the Oath of Robert Šlachta movement (5.7 percent).

On the other hand, the current government, the Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD), which would receive only 4.4 percent of the vote, would not get into the Chamber. In this context, Novinky.cz describes that the CSSD has been fighting a drop in preferences for a long time and, according to several surveys from recent months, will not get into the Chamber of Deputies.

In accordance with the latest survey, YES would win 64 seats in the 200-member Chamber of Deputies, the Coalition a total of 48 seats, Pirates and STAN would occupy 39 seats, the SPD would have 26 seats, the KSČM would secure 23 and the Oath 10 seats. Novinky.cz describes that both coalitions would not win a majority in the Chamber of Deputies even after their eventual merger, namely 101 votes.

The STEM survey took place from 24 to 30 September. It was attended by 1247 respondents older than 18 years.

Elections to the lower house of the Czech parliament will be held next Friday and Saturday – October 8 and 9.
