The R7 expressway in Bratislava is open. They completed the last missing section – HNonline.sk

The section of the R7 expressway located between the Prievoz junction on Bajkalská Street and the D4 motorway in Bratislava has been completed. About the opening of the last section of the motorway informed Bratislava self-governing region.

The region adds that the construction of the R7 expressway also included a comprehensive reconstruction of the Prievoz intersection under the Port Bridge on Bajkalská Street. On Sunday, October 2, the Rusovce – Jarovce section with a connection to the D2 motorway will also be open.

There was a new bypass in the capital passed gradually. On Saturday, October 2, the builder opened a 6.3-kilometer-long section of the R7 road from the Bratislava, South junction to the Bratislava, Nivy junction in Prievoz.

The beginning of the R7 section is a continuation of Bajkalská Street, while it is connected to the existing motorway network, more precisely to the Prievoz level crossing. It also passes through the Malé Pálenisko locality, crossing the Malý Dunaj, leading along the western edge of Slovnaft to its southwestern corner.

The Bratislava self-governing region stated that between 4,350 and 4,700 kilometers, the route partially enters the protected areas of Biskupické Luha and Dunajské Luhy.

The end of the section then connects through the agricultural area in the Bratislava-South level crossing to the D4 motorway Lužný most, Rusovce, Petržalka, Jarovce and the following section R7 Šamorín-západ, Holice.
