Sudan, the oil sacrifices

Oil exploitation in West Kordofan state, which contains one of Sudan’s largest reserves, is causing a health crisis. The local population absorbs many oil residues, especially in water, causing an upsurge in diseases and numerous malformations in newborns. However, the inhabitants have long ignored the dangers of this exploitation of “black gold”, carried out within the framework of Sino-Sudanese cooperation.
