Perpignan: a young woman dies after being locked in a car in full sun – teller report

It was his 37-year-old companion who raised the alert and is now the main suspect. On Friday, September 17, the latter called the firefighters to ask them to help his girlfriend who had fainted in the car while the vehicle was in direct sunlight.

Upon their arrival, the emergency services found the young woman with breathing difficulties and took her urgently to the hospital. After ten days in a coma and despite the efforts of the doctors, the 30-something could not be saved. His companion was arrested shortly after his call to 18.

Indeed, the police officers of the anti-crime brigade in charge of the investigations had very quickly suspected the latter of being at the origin of the locking of his companion in the car, reports The Independent. The thirty-something had been found in the vehicle, windows blocked and doors closed in a stifling heat. Officials had gone to find the suspect while he was with his friend in the emergency room to question him before placing him under the status of assisted witness.

After the death of the young woman, “the question of the qualification of the facts, until then” sequestration and attempted murder “is under study”, specifies the local newspaper, which had revealed this sad affair. The public prosecutor could give details during the week.
