Used car bonus, at the start of reservations: how it works

Ecobonus used cars, incentives arrive. From 10 am today 28 September, those who need to buy a new car and intend to get a used one, can book the bonus that allows you to have a discount on the purchase of the vehicle from 750 to 2,000 euros. But the money allocated by the government for this operation, as recalled by laleggepertutti.it, is not infinite: it is 40 million euros. What does the used car bonus consist of? To benefit from the discount you must have a scrap vehicle of the same category as the one to be purchased, registered for at least ten years and registered for at least 12 months to the buyer or to a family member. It means that the car to be scrapped must be registered before 2011 or, in any case, it must “blow out the ten candles” – to stay on the subject – by December 31, 2021. of the bonus is conditioned by the CO2 emissions of the vehicle purchased. The Ministry of Economic Development explains it as follows: “Starting at 10 am on Tuesday 28 September, dealers will be able to access the ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform to enter reservations for incentives for the purchase of used M1 category vehicles at low For the new incentive – explains the note from the Ministry – 40 million euros are made available for the purchase of a used vehicle of the euro class of not less than 6, with a price resulting from average market prices not exceeding 25,000 euros and with emissions between 0-160 g / km CO2 “. In other words: for a used Ferrari it is unlikely that you will get the bonus. Because, in summary, the discount will be possible: – if you buy a used car from the dealer; – if you bring a car to be scrapped registered before 2011 or, in any case, for at least ten years; – if the car to buy is in the same category as the one to be scrapped; – if the car to be purchased costs no more than 25,000 euros; – if the car to be purchased with produces CO2 emissions of more than 160 grams per kilometer traveled; – if the car is purchased after 10 am on Tuesday 28 September but before the 40 million euro budget provided by the government runs out.
