Catania, vanquished gang of violent robbers: three arrests, even two brothers

Violent robbers gang vanquished in Catania. The Carabinieri of Gravina di Catania arrested three offenders from Catania, two brothers aged 20 and 26 and the third aged 20 for aggravated robbery in competition. The investigation activity, between December 2020 and last March, made it possible to identify the criminal group, composed of 5 elements (3 arrested and 2 reported, including a woman) perpetrators of five heinous robberies consumed between December 2020 and January 2021 in Catania and in the Etna villages with the use of guns and knives and rented vehicles with counterfeit plates. The robberies, two perpetrated in Gravina di Catania and Mascalucia against tobacconists, two in the Etna capital committed against a well-known supermarket and one attempted in a pharmacy, earned the suspects over 5,500 euros.
