Vaccination: NBA refuses to grant exemption to Andrew Wiggins – BasketUSA

Not vaccinated, Andrew Wiggins had asked to be able to take advantage of a “religious exemption” to train and play with the Warriors in San Francisco. A request rejected by the NBA, and which will force the Canadian winger to be vaccinated if he wants to train and play this season with his home training.

“The NBA has reviewed and denied Andrew Wiggins’ religious exemption request regarding the San Francisco Department of Public Health order requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all participants aged 12 and over during major indoor events ”, can we read in the press release. “Wiggins will not be able to play the Warriors’ home games until he meets the town’s vaccination requirements.”

Important clarification: these health measures come into force on October 15, and Andrew Wiggins therefore has about three weeks to be vaccinated.
