Slovan played a power play right at the beginning of the match, Valent missed Rapuzzi first and then Jääskeläinen. The goalkeeper of Trenčín then intervened at the chance of Gašpar. The guests then played in a large advantage, but they did not pay attention to Kytnár. The Slav striker went alone on goal, but Valenta did not overcome. In the first period, the home team were better, it was easier to get into the zone, but in the end they did not push through. Krajč had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide.

In the second period, Krajč had his first chance again, but he did not give. Shortly afterwards, Urbánek pushed in front of Valenta and, although he was fouled, sent Slovan into the lead. Dukla then pushed forward, improving the transition to the zone compared to the first twenty minutes, but she could not create a goal chance. In the 34th minute, Slovan had another numerical advantage, he could twice increase his lead Zigo. The situation did not change even after Harris’s break, the puck was pushed out of his stick by the goalkeeper Dukla with his shoulder. Takáč had an even better chance, but he didn’t prevail in the raid either.

Slovan decided on the triumph at the beginning of the third act. He first hit the power play MacKenzie and 32 seconds later Jääskeläinen. Trenčín could have reduced after Beták’s invasion, but Gudlevskis could not be overcome. Then there were no other opportunities for Trenčín, but in the 5 to 3 “soldiers” they still reduced it. The Latvian goalkeeper was overtaken by Paukovček. In the end, however, Slovan secured his first triumph of the season, Takáč prevailed.
