NAKA detained Štefan Žiga and accused him of corruption. Štefan Žiga is a relative of the former Minister of Economy and current Member of Parliament for the Voice of Petr Žiga party. The prosecutor of the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion for detention, which will be decided by the court on Saturday from 2.30 pm.

NAKA has been investigating a corruption case for a long time, where Norbert Bödör is accused of paying a bribe of 50,000 euros to former director of the National Financial Police Unit, Bernard Slobodník, so as not to investigate Žig’s relative for various suspicions of carousel fraud. In another criminal case, Member of Parliament Žiga himself is also accused of bribery. He is being prosecuted at large.
